Concept Sketches

The client wanted concept sketches based on different themes I pulled from reading the article.

Linear Drafts & Color Blocking

The client chose concept 1, which illustrates that the microbiome is diverse and found all over the body. I illustrated different types of bacteria with contrasting colors (within the UCSF color palette), and reflected those same colors on the entire surface of the person’s body.

Final Draft

Final highlights, shadows and textures were added to tie everything together. A few final versions were created playing with the lighting.
