About

Hi! I’m Farah.

I am a visual artist from San Francisco interested creating designs that help tell stories and communicate complex information to diverse audiences. Currently, I’m a graphic designer at UCSF, where I create branded and unique visuals for marketing, social media, events, and print.

I completed my Masters of Biomedical Communications at the University of Toronto where I trained in biomedical visualization, storytelling and communications. I previously worked with Osso VR, where I developed visuals for VR surgical education and marketing. In 2021, I concluded my time as the inaugural Artist in Residence at UCSF where I worked on an animated data visualization project discussing COVID-19 disparities in SF. You can read more about the project through the UCSF library website, and KQED.

In my spare time, you can catch me in SF and the Easy Bay facilitating figure drawing sessions with Sketchboard Co!
