Process Work

Concept Sketches & Layout

Research was conducted to better understand the receptor pathways and their relationships through various provided references and articles. For simplicity, a key was created with the different elements to be visualized. Different layouts were created to emphasize different aspects of the same information.

Linear Drafts

The different receptor shapes, design and text layouts were finalized. A colour render test was created for one of the receptors to better solidify the render style.

Final Color Renders

A final render style was chosen with graphic highlights and shadows to imply a 3D shape. The final color palette visually groups different elements together: cool colors for the receptors, and contrasting colors for the dynamic elements.
