Article Illustration & Animation (2022): this illustration/animation was created for the Mythbuster series article “Detoxing: Can You Buy Your Way to Better Health?” by Elizabeth Daube for the online and print publication of the Summer 2022 UCSF Magazine. Animation also featured on the UCSF Instagram and pinned as a highlight.

Process Work
Concept Sketches
The client wanted concept sketches based on different themes I pulled from reading the article.
Linear Draft & Animation
The client chose concept 1 B, with the suggestion of an actual buoy instead of a teabag. A rough linear illustration was created. The individual elements were created in procreate and brought into After Effects to be animated. Final hand-drawn animated elements were then composited at the end.
Final Draft
For the final illustration, I proposed two different color schemes to choose from.
